Ukhuwah Viruses

Next week, all subjects will be ended officially. (credit hour sudah habis...huhu~). Study week will be start on a week after. Besides all the English stuff, grammar exercises, Macionis books and all the notes that make me dizzy sometimes, I rummaged my file in the lappy, and I found over 100 files of pdf and MS words, waiting to be read and digest. haha!!

And Alhamdulillah, I had finished the Virus-virus Ukhuwah by Abu 'Ashim Hisyam bin Abdul Qadir Uqdah. Pheww~

The writer listed 21 viruses of ukhuwah and there are a lot of syair which are very interesting. 

Thing that I want to share today is what should we do if someone talking bad about our sahabat. There is two ways:

1. Put yourself into your sahabat's shoes, and he also there with you, hear the same thing. Surely you will tell about your sahabat as what you love to hear from your him about you.

2. Imagine you sahabat heard about what they talk about him behind the wall. Surely you will defend him, whether he is there or not. The one who are not sincere in the friendship is hypocrite and the loyal one will stop himself from hearing something about his sahabat and stop connecting with his sahabat's enemy.*

*Bukan bererti harus memusuhi musuh sahabatnya. Maksudnya adalah ia tidak boleh melakukan dua hubungan ukhuwah khusus sekaligus antara sahabatnya dengan orang yang menjadi musuhnya, melainkan harus memilih salah satu di antara mereka berdua untuk ukhuwah khusus. Sementara yang lain tetap dalam koridor ukhuwah Islam dan kecintaan yang bersifat umum dan biasa terjalin antara sesama Muslim, selama tidak terdapat faktor-faktor syar'i yang membolehkan untuk memusuhi dan membencinya. Uhibbuka(i)fillah..The most famous word used nowadays which means I love you because of Allah.

It seems very easy to utter this word.

But, it brings a lot.

Reading all the athar by sahabah radiallahuanhum and words by Islamic scholar on how they treat their sahabah, their thoughts and all that, mashaAllah.. I cannot compared myself even in husnuszhon or having a good thoughts of others whereas it is the lowest stage in ukhuwah, what more ithar or atruism. huhu~

I have come across many stories about friendship and ukhuwah, and the most touching story is about three sahabah radiallahuanhum, who still being ithar even they were dying at that time. I read it first in Sinergi- a novel about ukhuwah. It is really awesome!!

Back to the pdf, it consists if 155 pages including the bibliography. Is it too long? Well, it is. hehe~but it worth reading maa..and if you want to read it, read it till the end because the closure is very crucial, okay?

The best way to find a sahabat, recommended by Luqmanul Hakim as what he said to his son :

"Anakku, jika engkau ingin menjadikan seseorang sebagai sahabat, maka pancinglah kemarahannya terlebih dulu. Jika ia sanggup objektif ketika marah—jadikanlah ia sahabat. Namun jika tidak, jauhilah ia."
